Formula 1 Announces Venues for 2024 Sprint Events
Six Circuits to Host Exciting Saturday Races

Formula 1 has unveiled the six venues that will host Sprint races during the 2024 season. The Sprint format, introduced in 2021, offers fans a thrilling addition to traditional race weekends, with qualifying on Friday determining the starting order for a shorter Saturday race. The results of the Sprint set the starting grid for the main race on Sunday.
The six venues hosting Sprint events in 2024 are:
- Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain
- Imola Circuit, Italy
- Red Bull Ring, Austria
- Circuit Paul Ricard, France
- Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
- Interlagos Circuit, Brazil
The 2024 calendar, approved by the World Motor Sport Council, features 24 races, with the season kicking off in Bahrain on March 2nd and concluding in Abu Dhabi on November 24th.
Formula 1's Managing Director of Motorsports, Ross Brawn, commented on the announcement, saying, "We are excited to announce the venues for the 2024 F1 Sprint events. The Sprint format has been a great success, providing fans with even more action and excitement on race weekends. We look forward to bringing the Sprint to these iconic circuits and further enhancing the Formula 1 experience for our fans."
