West Indies complete series win by chasing 188 off 34 overs
Hosts first ODI series win against England in Caribbean since 2019
Three weeks after their disastrous World Cup campaign came to an end, England suffered defeat to West Indies in the first ODI in Antigua.
The hosts chased down a target of 188 with more than 15 overs to spare, with Shai Hope top-scoring with 51.
It was West Indies' first ODI series win against England in the Caribbean since 2019.
England captain Jos Buttler admitted that his team had been "outplayed" by the West Indies.
"We were outplayed today," he said. "We didn't bat well enough and we didn't bowl well enough."
The second ODI will be played on Sunday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound.
