Texans' 2023 Draft Class: What to Expect
A Look at the Players Who Could Make an Impact
The Houston Texans are looking to build on their 3-13-1 record from last season. They have a lot of holes to fill, but they also have a lot of draft picks to work with. Here's a look at some of the players who could make an impact for the Texans in 2023:
1. Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
Young is considered to be the best quarterback prospect in the country. He's a Heisman Trophy winner and a two-time national champion. Young has a strong arm and is very accurate. He's also a good athlete and can make plays with his feet. The Texans need a franchise quarterback, and Young could be that guy.
2. C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
Stroud is another top quarterback prospect. He's a big, strong quarterback with a cannon for an arm. Stroud is also very accurate and has good decision-making skills. He's not as athletic as Young, but he's still a very good runner. The Texans could take Stroud if Young is not available.
3. Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
Carter is a force on the defensive line. He's big, strong, and quick. Carter is a great pass rusher and he can also stop the run. The Texans need to improve their defense, and Carter would be a great addition.
4. Peter Skoronoski, OT, Northwestern
Skoronoski is a big, athletic offensive tackle. He's a good pass blocker and he can also open up holes in the running game. The Texans need to improve their offensive line, and Skoronoski would be a good addition.
5. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State
Smith-Njigba is a dynamic wide receiver. He's fast, strong, and has great hands. Smith-Njigba is also a good route runner and he can make plays in the slot and on the outside. The Texans need to add some playmakers to their offense, and Smith-Njigba would be a good addition.
